Central Europe is reeling under floods. What began to finally look like summer turned into a continuos stream of heavy down pour which in turn has now resulted in swollen rivers.
While the situation is not bad in our town, many people in the cities of Passau in Germany, Prague in the Czech Republic, and neighbouring countries of Austria and Switzerland have not been so lucky.
Keeping our fingers crossed and hoping and praying that the waters recede as soon as possible.
Striking and sad photos of the flood waters which I hope retreat soon.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of this. We had terrible flooding here in Australia this year AND last year, and it was devastating and scary. Hoping for receding waters very soon.
ReplyDeleteHope these floods cause as little destruction as possible.....interesting and terrifying at the same time.

Wow, that's a lot of water! The mid-west has had quite a bit of flooding this year too. Whereas in California where I live we've had hardly any rain! Your duck picture at the end was such a great summation! Hope things dry out there soon.
ReplyDeleteThe flooding has been devastating this year...hard to believe when you see normally dry places underwater. Hope you stay dry, May!
Hope all residents keep safe - especially our friends in Sackenbach.
