There are days when I feel L A Z Y in the kitchen. But then, somebody's got to feed the family. So I have found a quick solution to feed both the family and my laziness. Yup, SOUP!!
A big bowl of SOUP!
During my trip back home, I happened to pick up a copy of the BBC Good Food India magazine which has yummlicious quick soup recipes. And to make my work even more simpler, my daughter, all of 9 went through the entire magazine and cross checked all that she wanted me to prepare. Yeah, she's a big foodie, that girl!! The above speedy noodle soup was our dinner for tonight accompanied with broccoli gratin!
Do you have bouts of laziness? How do you overcome it?
I think we all need to be lazy once in a while - that´s our way to get some energy back. If I have a lazy day I´m fit for fight again the day after. :-)
ReplyDeleteI do love soup! :-)
I love lazy soup! I can't wait to give it a try. My husband has huge diet restrictions I'm off to see if its for us. Cross your fingers May!

Oh man! Our bouts of laziness joined hands yesterday I guess..i wasted the whole morning not wanting or deciding to cook and ended up ordering food from my fav restaurant..since hubby is travelling, I didn't want to slave over cooking at all! Soup is a great idea..will try it 2day :D
ReplyDeleteI was that lazy for the last several days. I just didn't feel like cooking so we ate out or ordered in. I finally started cooking again yesterday. The way for me to get back into cooking groove is to cook something simple but also something I really love to eat. So, yesterday I made pancakes with Nutella for breakfast (the lunch and dinner were out) and today I grilled chicken with a side of cabbage and carrots for lunch. Dinner? Tomato soup with noodles. Super easy and super tasty. A girl has to have a day or two off of cooking (even when she loves it). :))
ReplyDeleteAnyway, stop by when you get a chance, I have a few things to give away!
