Sunday's in my City

Weekends are sometimes reserved for drives along the country side. Driving in Germany is pretty awesome. The roads are amazing, less of traffic, people follow the rules. You also get to witness the beauty of seasons on such drives. As the picture below shows, spring is waiting to burst out with colors of green.

Country side driving takes you through a number of villages. As you approach a village, you got to slow down your speed. German villages are pretty with their timbered houses.

There are numerous fields too which you encounter on your way. Right now they are being readied for seeding and planting. In a few months time, there will be rows of rapsol fields along with corn, sunflower and berries too.

All along sights of towers, church steeples, ruined forts, fortifications greet you. The bluer the skies, prettier the villages.

What do you like to do during the weekend? Head on over to Unknown Mami and share it along with the rest of the world.

  1. The bridge over the road is so beautiful and charming. It looks perfect perched there as if inviting you to slow down even more to get a good look at the Village :-)
    Happy SIMC, jj

  2. I love the sky in all those photos. Long, lazy, beautiful drives are so nice.

  3. I wanna stand on that bridge in the second photo

  4. The pictures are wonderful and I'm impressed by how clean your windshield is.

  5. What a lovely drive and how delightful that you shared it with us. While I've traveled through Spain, the UK, Italy, Switzerland and France, I've not had the pleasure of German travel. It was lovely to see a bit of the countryside.

  6. I'm in love with that smooth, lovely road.

  7. The view from your windscreen is beautiful.

  8. Isn't the sun wonderful! We spent a lovely day at the zoo with some other expat friends. It was cold but clear and sunny. It's about time spring showed up! Have a wonderful week : )

I love it when you stop by to say a few words...
